The Corrosion Association of Turkey, which started its activities in November 1987, was established in order to create awareness in the field of corrosion science and engineering in our country, to encourage information sharing and to contribute to technological developments. Our Association is a leading organization that aims to strengthen cooperation and communication networks at the national and international levels.
The Corrosion Association, as a member of EFC (European Corrosion Federation), conducts various scientific, technological and practical studies related to corrosion. These studies aim to contribute to both the national economy and environmental health and safety.
To increase the knowledge in the field of corrosion science and engineering and to provide solutions based on this information.
To develop joint projects by building bridges between universities, research institutions, industry and investor organizations.
To raise awareness on a national scale to minimize the economic and environmental damages caused by corrosion.
To be a leading center in the field of corrosion science and engineering in Turkey and around the world; to create added value for industry, environment and society by producing sustainable solutions.
In today's world where concerns about environmental pollution and safety are increasing, we are developing and implementing standards against corrosion.
We are raising public awareness about the lack of knowledge about corrosion and its effects, and the damages it causes.
We are working on techniques to control corrosion taking the environmental pollution and safety concerns of engineers into account.
We offer solutions of approach in line with universities, industry, government and non-governmental organizations.
Our Association organizes various activities in order to develop knowledge and application areas for corrosion science and engineering. Our main activities are as follows:
Seminars, conferences and panels: To share up-to-date information about corrosion by organizing scientific meetings.
Educational and publishing studies: To enrich the technical literature in Turkish by making publications related to corrosion and to provide technical trainings.
Research and standard studies: To support research for the prevention of corrosion and to contribute to standardization processes.
International collaborations: To support the exchange of information at the global level by establishing strong collaborations with domestic and international organizations.
The Corrosion Association has been pioneering scientific and technological developments in the fight against corrosion since 1987. Our association, which encourages sectoral information sharing with the rich resources it offers to its members, symposiums and trainings it organises, aims to add value to the future with sustainable solutions.
